A real estate consortium hired Campfire to help build public support for a $200 million mixed-used development in Harford County, MD. The project required a Tax Increment Finance package, or TIF, from the County to pay for public improvements. Raising public awareness about the project’s benefits for the surrounding community would be crucial during the County’s review process.
Campfire developed a public relations and web-based strategy focused on the project’s benefits to the economy and community as well as the TIF’s fiscal benefits for taxpayers. Services include website design, online advertising, media outreach, coalition building, direct mail, writing & editing.
After sustained community outreach, the County Council approved the development and the TIF.
